In the past years I have spent much time researching the history of the Beijen and Beyen families. But without the cooperation of many other people I would not have had so much information.

First of all I would like to mention:

  • Kees Beijen (Roden, NL), who has collected numerous data about the Jan Thomas branch of the IJsselstein family;
  • Jacquee Beijen Lukens (Bellefonte, PA, USA), who has made many suggestions for the English texts on this website;
  • Adriana Kool (Bodegraven, NL), who has made innumerable suggestions, several of which proved to be quite useful;
  • Bert Onclin (1938-2022) (Baarn, NL), who has found and transcribed many old deeds and charters from IJsselstein and Benschop;
  • Frank Steggink (Utrecht, NL), who has provided much useful information about the origin of the Hengelo family;
  • Jan Vegers (1942-2007) (Ede, NL), who has found and collected much information in Nijmegen archives;
